Shape

iOS icons are always exported square — iOS applies its own corner mask automatically. Shape applies to Android and raw PNG exports.

Export

What Croppy does

Croppy crops any photo or logo into a square app icon and exports every file size Apple and Google expect — an iOS AppIcon.appiconset (with Contents.json, ready to drag into Xcode) and a full Android mipmap set plus a Play Store listing icon — in one pass. You can also export a single raw PNG with square, rounded, or fully circular corners for anywhere else an icon is needed: favicons, Slack/Discord avatars, desktop app icons, or design mockups.

FAQ

What iOS icon sizes does Croppy generate?

All standard iPhone and iPad sizes (20pt–83.5pt at 1x/2x/3x) plus the 1024×1024 App Store marketing icon, packaged as an AppIcon.appiconset with a valid Contents.json so it drops straight into an Xcode asset catalog.

What Android icon sizes does Croppy generate?

mdpi (48px), hdpi (72px), xhdpi (96px), xxhdpi (144px), and xxxhdpi (192px) launcher icons, plus a 512×512 Play Store listing icon.

Why are iOS icons always square, even if I pick rounded or circle?

iOS applies its own corner mask to app icons at render time. Shipping a pre-rounded icon would double-round the corners, so Croppy always exports square source images for iOS and applies your chosen shape only to Android and raw PNG exports.

Does Croppy upload my image anywhere permanent?

Your image is sent once to generate the export files and is not stored — nothing is saved to a database or kept after the request finishes.
